Alex Wilmer

Alex has a 20 plus year general insurance career. Starting out as a liability underwriter at Zurich Commercial before making the change to the ever-growing world of regulatory compliance. He has held senior compliance roles at RSA and Hiscox before more recently being the Head of UK Compliance for Berkshire Hathaway Speciality Insurance. Alex has an expanded role at the Nelson Group, adding a range of operational responsibilities in addition to compliance and customer risk. Like most other men in his 40s, Alex is a keen cyclist. Regularly cycling in the Alps and other mountainous destinations.
